I'm Gillie Rokromo. Creative Director and Photographer. But really, I've always just been someone who looks.
I see the world a little differently. Graphically. In shapes, lines and frames. I walk into a room and already see the composition. Before a camera is even involved.
But photography, for me, has never been just about the frame.
The camera is my way in. It gives me a reason to approach, to linger, to ask. Without it, I'm just passing through. With it, doors open. People let you in.
My photography is observational, documentary. I don't construct, I find. But I'm very deliberate about when I press the shutter.
